Under a full moon equally befogged as I,

The garden I am near to finishing is beautiful,

Various and surprising;  clearly meant to please

And doing it now.

Inside and out, the house is newly painted.

I've fashioned a study that really works,

And here I am, working.

Everything is new, everything is right.

It is great fun.  Had I thought so sooner,

And spent less time in befogged moonlit gardens,

I might have written something, if not beautiful, at least various,

Surprising, and clearlyt meant to please.
